Next, you visit Nalanda Gedige- it’s a curious hybrid of Buddhist and Hindu architecture. Some of the design elements are distinctly Hindu, such as the “Mandapam” or the hall of waiting. It is one of the most remarkable archaeological sites in Sri Lanka.
Next, you visit Sri Muththumari Amman Hindu temple- Its outer walls are covered with hundreds of carvings and statues of different renowned Hindu characters, gods, and deities.

Breakfast at the hotel you visit the last Sinhalese Kingdom of Kandy, until 1815 it was captured and ruled by the British. Famous for the Temple of the tooth that houses Lord Buddha’s sacred tooth relic, home of the Esala Perahera.

After breakfast at the hotel you drive to Adams Peak, en route visit Kitulgala-Whitewater rafting at Kitulgala holds out the chance to enjoy the stunning tropical scenery of the region. This high adventure is suitable for the maiden rafters and experts alike. Kitulgala was chosen as the main location in David Lean s movie Bridge on the River Kwai filmed in 1957.
Next, you proceed to Adams peak.
Overnight Stay in Adams Peak (Deli House)
Early wake up at 2.30 am, & you climb the amazing Adams Peak. This is Sri Lanka’s fourth highest
mountain at 2244 Meters high. It is nine hour walk up & down. As per a famous legend, it is presumed that Lord Buddha had placed his sacred footprint on the top of the summit of Adams peak.
Around 6.30 am, you will be able to see the delightful Sunrise, and back to the hotel around 9.30 am, you are your breakfast and rest for a while in the hotel then drive to Ella.
En route you visit St. Clairs fall, this is one of the widest waterfalls in Sri Lanka and is commonly known as the “Little Niagara of Sri Lanka”
Next you visit “Devon falls” This Waterfall is 97 meters high and ranked 19th highest in the Island. Overnight stay in Ella.
After breakfast at the hotel you drive to Thissamaharama. En route hiking “Little Adam’s Peak” It is 1141 m in height. Views from the summit are incredible. 360 degrees panoramic views with clouds rolling in, is a treat to watch for any traveler. Ella Gap &Ella Rock can be seen at the summit of Little Adams peak.
Then you have driven to see the wonderful nine-arch bridge. This bridge, which is almost 100 years old, has been built with blocks of stone and cement without any strengthening iron or concrete. The giant arches take the bridge on a curved path to link to the mountains.
Next, you visit “Rawana falls” approximately 25m (82 ft) in height and cascades from an oval-shaped concave rock outcrop.
Next, you visit Buduruwagala Temple- On a massive rock, somewhat similar in shape to an elephant lying down, is a courtly group of seven figures carved in high relief two bodhisattvas, each attended by two figures, stand on either side of a 16m high central Buddha figure.
Overnight stay in Thissamaharamaya.
